Fine Arts

At Port Allegany, we are committed to our high-quality fine arts program, and we pride ourselves in providing students with opportunities to learn about and perform in the arts. Participating in the arts allows students to express creativity, practice persistence, and develop important skills.

Band

Our band students have the opportunity to perform in concerts and participate in commencement activities at the end of the school term. We also encourage participation in local, district, and state festivals. Students earn a quarter credit for band participation per semester.

Chorus

The chorus is a selected group of students who possess good singing voices and a great desire to work together to maintain an excellent chorus. Our chorus presents several programs each year. We present musicals in cooperation with the Dramatics Club and promote participation in county, district, and state festivals. We organize small vocal groups from the membership of the chorus for in-school and out-of-school programs. Students earn one quarter credit for two rehearsals per week in school.
