About Port Allegany Jr.–Sr. High School
Port Allegany Jr.–Sr. High School serves students from 7th through 12th grade in Port Allegany and the surrounding areas. Located near Pennsylvania’s northern border in McKean County, our school was built in 1954 and houses about 400 students.
Our school building is located adjacent to the community park, which lets us incorporate the use of park facilities such as basketball and tennis courts and the outdoor swimming pool into our curriculum. The high school course offerings include academic, vocational, and business programs.
The Seneca Highlands Career and Technical Center provides vocational education and is within walking distance of the district. Additionally, our students participate in various student clubs and organizations as well as a competitive sports program. And our district is well-known for its exceptional music program.
Our Mission Statement
